UnitedHealthOne is an individual and family plan sold through the UnitedHealth Group, one of the nation’s largest health care organizations. Administered and underwritten by Golden Rule Insurance Company, a UnitedHealthcare company who has sold individual coverage for more than 65 years, UnitedHealthOne plans are widely available throughout the country. Offering the same benefits and coverage in nearly every state they cover, UnitedHealthOne is a consistent source of copay, high deductible, and HSA plans on a PPO network. As part of the UnitedHealth Group, these plans provide access to an extensive network of doctors and hospitals nationwide.

Golden Rule currently has a rating of “A” (Excellent) from A.M. Best, and an accreditation from the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA), and continues to offer quality health plans in more states than any other single company. The UnitedHealthcare network consists of over 754,000 physicians and other providers, and 5,400 hospitals across the nation. UnitedHealthOne plans give members the ability to use any of these providers in their region or while traveling. For individuals and families in Wisconsin, UnitedHealthOne provides various options for those who want flexibility and strong coverage.

Copay Plans

If you don’t mind a higher premium, these are the best UnitedHealthOne plans you can find. Ultimately, members save more each year by having access to copay benefits before their deductible, such as office visits and prescriptions. After the deductible is met, these plans cover hospital services, emergency care, surgery, and other services at 70/30, 80/20, or 100 percent. By choosing a Copay Select plan, unlimited office visits with a physician or specialist are available at any time for a copay, as well as generic drugs.

High Deductible Health Plans

For those who want to lower their monthly premium and still receive great coverage, choose a traditional PPO plan with a high deductible. The only services you have covered before your deductible is met are preventive, and all other types of care are covered at 80 or 100 percent after deductible. Plan 80 plans have a $3000 out-of-pocket maximum, while Plan 100 includes the OOP in the deductible. Prescriptions are covered with a discount card, and are subject to the deductible as with hospital and physician care.

Health Savings Account Plans

A high deductible plan with the benefits of lower premiums and catastrophic coverage, these plans cover all of your services after deductible. Connected to an optional HSA, you can pay for medical costs with money that is federally qualified to receive tax breaks and can benefit members in multiple ways, as funds are tax-free to use. For health benefits while your deductible is unmet, preventive services are available at no cost with any UnitedHealthOne network provider.
