UnitedHealthOne provides Oklahoma residents with several plans in the standard variations of coverage expected from a national insurer. Their plans are underwritten by Golden Rule Insurance Company, a UnitedHealthcare subsidiary, who has been selling individual and family plans across the country from more than 65 years. Golden Rule received a rating of “A” (Excellent) from A.M. Best, and “A+” (Strong) from Standard and Poor’s based on their financial stability and company outlook. They have also been noted for handling claims processing efficiently, and their national network is quite extensive as a UnitedHealthcare product.
UnitedHealthcare has a national network of over 754,000 physicians and 5,400 hospitals, and as a UnitedHealthOne member, you can visit any of them for the in-network rate. Individuals and families can also add dental, vision, term life, critical illness, or supplemental accident benefits to their health insurance coverage through UnitedHealthOne. Oklahoma residents have access to health care through three different plan types, some of which are quite affordable for certain demographics.
UnitedHealthOne Plans in Oklahoma
Offering the most coverage with benefits for a copay, not subject to the deductible, these plans are the best way to save money on medical care. By choosing to pay a slightly higher premium each month, members have access to low cost doctor’s office visits and generic prescriptions for a copay before the deductible. Major medical services are also covered, such as inpatient and outpatient hospital care, surgical procedures, lab and X-ray, and chiropractic. Coinsurance is either 80/20 or 70/30 depending on the plan you choose.
High Deductible Health Plans
High deductibles equate to low premiums, and though your risk is higher, you are still covered for preventive care before meeting your deductible. After the deductible is met, you have access to numerous services, such as prescriptions, physician services, hospital care, and diagnostic visits. Select the coinsurance and deductible of your liking to adjust the cost in your favor. The higher the deductible, the less coinsurance, and the lower the monthly premium.
Health Savings Account Plans
These high deductible plans are qualified for use with an HSA to pay for health care costs. By funding your health savings account, you can pay for certain services tax-free, and receive preventive care at no cost. UnitedHealthOne offers two choices for HSA coverage, one with a lower premium and higher cost sharing, and another with a full array of benefits after deductible for no charge. HSA 100 plans include more benefits, such as physician and hospital services, and can be used with a prescription card for all tiers of drugs. HSA 70 plans offer a less costly way to start an HSA, though your medical costs are higher after deductible.
