Individuals and families in Michigan have a variety of choices for coverage through Aetna’s PPO network. Offering coverage in and out-of-network, these plans are available as high deductible HSA plans, standard PPOs with copays, value plans, and a limited benefit option. Aetna individual plan members have plenty of additional discounts and programs at their disposal to encourage healthy living, such as fitness center and eye care discounts.
Aetna Individual Plans in Michigan
Offered in two deductible choices, these plans are popular for their low monthly premium, and are also qualified for use with a health savings account. If you prefer saving money from month-to-month with the aside that you pay all of your own costs out-of-pocket, or if you decide it’s time to set up an HSA, this is a PPO you can count on. Choosing to connect your plan to an HSA can be a rewarding financial decision, as they are a tax-deductible expense, and tax-free to use.
The widest variety of deductibles is offered through Aetna’s traditional PPO plan. Each of these plans provides coverage for office visits and generic prescriptions for a copay before deductible, and a $500 deductible for brand name drugs. Covering 80 percent of your medical care after deductible, PPOs give the most comprehensive coverage of any Aetna plan. $7500 plans include unlimited primary care visit coverage and dental benefits.
A midpoint between the low monthly rate of high deductibles, and the coverage of traditional PPOs, Aetna’s PPO Value plans offer three covered office visits for a copay, and generic prescriptions before deductible. Available in three cost options, all plans cover 60 to 80 percent of the cost of medical services when your deductible is reached. There is no additional deductible for prescriptions, and generics are covered for $15.
Preventive & Hospital Care
As the name suggests, those are about all the covered services you receive with this plan. One deductible of $2750 is available, and your plan can be used with an HSA if you prefer. These plans cover hospitalization, emergency care, and other services at 80 percent after deductible, and preventive care is no cost to you with in-network doctors.
