Plan 570 Blue Options
The Blue Cross Blue Shield Blue Options Plan 570 Plan Detail is a question that I see asked quite a bit in my Google Analytics. This plan is pretty interesting but at the same time it is pretty complicated. It actually looks quite a bit like the Miami Dade Blue Plan which is actually one of my favorite plans.
The plan has only a $250 deductible and a maximum out of pocket (coinsurance maximum) of only $2500 this means that the most you can spend on medical costs (assuming you only use the Blue Cross Blue Shield network) is $2500 (coinsurance and copayments) plus $500 (deductible)=$3000.
What else is good? The preventative care is great and they cover all of your diagnostic testing
Whats bad then? The prescription plan for one is virtually non-existent and is basically a prescription discount plan. Also the doctors office isn’t covered until you meet your deductible and coinsurance requirements. And even then the doctor visits have to be related to surgical services. This can be bad if you develop a chronic condition that needs regular office visits.
My Recommendation: This is a good plan for the young and healthy that are trying to save money on health insurance premiums.
Plan 571 Blue Options
Plan 571 Benefit Summary is the same as the 570 only it has a higher deductible and coinsurance so if you guessed it is cheaper you would win the prize. The deductible on the 571 is $1000 plus your coinsurance maxmium which is $5000=$6000 out of pocket maxmium.

(Out-of-Pocket Maximums include CYD, Coinsurance, Copayments and PAD. It excludes Prescription Drugs and the Emergency Room PVD. The In-Network Out-of-Pocket Maximum and Out-of-Network Out-of-Pocket Maximum are separate, and as such, accumulate separately and are applied separately.) (Any charges for non-covered services, benefit penalty reductions, charges in excess of any maximum benefit limitations, or charges in excess of the Allowed Amount are not included.) |
