Affordable Health Insurance Quotes from All Major Reputable Health Insurance Providers
In Jacksonville, Florida there is the usual five companies including Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Cigna, Humana, and United Health One. By 2010 if the economy is still intact and health reform has not significantly changed the landscape you might expect to see more health insurance companies available in the Jacksonville and Duval County health insurance market. In South Florida home of East Coast Health Insurance there is in fact 8 respected health insurance companies and it is not unlikely that Coventry, Avmed, and Vista might release their plans state-wide.
Additionally Jacksonville, interestingly enough is home to Aetna and Blue Cross Blue Shield two of the states largest employers and it is not difficult to believe that these companies employ a significant percentage of Jacksonville residents and hopefully add value to the community.
But the truth is in the Jacksonville health insurance market that prices can vary significantly as you can see from the sample quote I ran for my wife and I. Remember that these rates are as of November 2009 and might change or have already changed. Of course no one has ever seen a health insurance price decrease so it is unlikely to see too much change in the model below, but on the other hand your age can play a significant role as can your gender in these rates. Using the arbitrary zip code of 32210 it is quite evident that the United Health One plan is priced the best and is certainly very attractive for Jacksonville residents that have a similar demographic representation.
Jacksonville Health Insurance Quote Sample Case Study
Blue Cross Blue Shield of Florida is harder to compare in Jacksonville as their plan that is closest to the plans from Aetna, Cigna, Humana, and United offer no specialist visits and has a significantly higher out of pocket maximium per year. That means after you are finished paying your deductible and coinsurance you will be at $6000 which is $1000 more then the other health insurance plans. That is why I include the Blue Cross Blue Shield Plan 598. Once called the Plan 98 (they added a 5 whoop de doo!) this plan is actually amazingly comprehensive. It offers many more copays then the plans from the other Jacksonville 4 as we will call them including emergency room co-payments before the deductible and much better diagnostic coverage before the annual deductible. If you don’t understand these terms please visit our Florida health insurance education section for a better understanding. On the other hand this plan has a higher premium but would still be my first choice if you eliminate United Health One from the equation. The other minus of this plan is that it does not cover Name Brand drugs which United Health One does in Florida (and actually has the best prescription in Florida if you are keeping score). If you call us right now and ask us we will in fact recommend the Blue Cross plan 598 to most people over the other plans. If you just want to save money the United Health One plan is more then suitable and in fact I have it myself.
