The New Broward Blue From Blue Cross Blue Shield

The new Broward Blue Blue Health Insurance plan is available now as part of the Miami Dade Blue Plan being offered in Broward, Fort Lauderdale, Weston, Plantation, Hollywood, Dania Beach, Tamarac, Lauderdale Lakes, Lauderhill, Deerfield Beach, and Pompano, Coral Springs.

 

How can Blue help you?

 

The wait is almost for Broward county, it seems the new plan in Miami Dade County, Miami Dade Blue which has been so successful for the residents of Miami is almost ready for the residents of Broward county.  Broward Blue will be a little different than its predecessor Miami Dade Blue but it will still be very affordable health insurance for the residents of the Broward Fort Lauderdale health insurance market. 

As there is no tentative release date yet for this plan, and it is doubtful that without the backing of the Broward county commissioner, who unlike Joe Martinez, did not make this plan a priority, this plan will have the same benefits as the Miami Dade Blue plan.  However, if you live in the Broward-Fort Lauderdale County region you can right now apply for the Miami Dade Blue plan right now and as the network is expanded you will be able to see physicians and clinics that are closer to our area.  I, actually live in Broward county myself, and am considering this plan for that reason.

The Broward Blue plan helps you keep more money in your pocket with affordable health care benefits that work for you. With no referrals necessary, you can see any provider you want, but you’ll save using the local Miami-Dade Blue network. Enrollment is fast and easy, and you’re covered for: 

• Routine and preventive doctor office visits. We pay up to $50 per provider, per date of service, and you pay the balance, or the amount billed by the provider after subtracting the $50 payment made by us. 

• Generic prescription drugs

• Urgent care center visits

• Dental services. We pay $50 per provider, per date of service, and you pay the balance, which is the amount you will be billed by the provider after subtracting the $50 payment made by us.

• Lab tests 

• Inpatient hospital care

• Outpatient hospital care related to surgery

• Emergency room services

• Mammograms
