Go Blue

Go Blue is Not Health Insurance!  It is a Discount Plan.  Discount Plans are not health insurance.  Therefore Go Blue is not a good idea.

Don’t buy goblue period.  I am saying this because I discourage people from buying discount plans and I would be remiss if I didn’t include Go Blue.  As I have said countless times, having health insurance can prevent you from obtaining a government assistance plan like Medicaid, so even the worst health insurance plan can hurt you in more ways than you might think.

Many of my clients call Blue Cross and once directed to the Blue Cross Blue Shield sales center find themselves being pitched discount plans paired with indemnity insurance plans.  This is a bad idea period.  It is better to get a straight forward high deductible plan than to be buying discount and indemnity plans.  Why?  Because there is no cap on your exposure with these plans.  If I can’t tell you how much money you will be out of pocket in case of a major illness or hospitalization than I do not recommend buying the plan.

I sell Blue Cross Blue Shield sometimes I feel like it is all I sell, because I am not allowed to offer companies besides Blue Cross until the person has either refused Blue Cross or Blue Cross has refused them.  I find this policy to be remarkably hypocritical.  Of course I do not complain that loudly because at the end of the day Blue Cross still has the best product.  That being said DO NOT BUY DISCOUNT PLANS.  If you cannot afford regular health insurance then you should probably be on Medicaid or a county health plan anyways.  Please call East Coast Health Insurance for more information 888 803 5917.

Also if you have been victimized by a health insurance company we want to help you and draw attention to your plight please contact us by visiting our East Coast Health Insurance contact page.  Do not be allured by the so called advertisements below.  Save your money apply for Medicaid.
