Managed Care – Medicaid in Georgia

Since 2006, the Medicaid program and PeachCare for Kids has been operating through a managed care program in order to streamline care and improve services. Provided by the DCH in partnership with several private health insurance providers, the program allows Medicaid members access to better health care. This program, Georgia Families, has enabled thousands of Georgians to receive care through a network of providers, and the freedom to choose their own health plan to suit their preferences.

Basically, Georgia Families is Medicaid and PeachCare for children.  Health plans that work with Georgia Families are below, at least two of the plans below will be in your county. When you enroll, you will find out which plans you can choose. To learn more about the plans you can call them or visit their Web sites.
